Harniciuk is the name of our ancestor — a Ruthenian border guard who had a love story with our grandmother Carolina. When the Nazi Germans came during World War II, he was forced to flee and was killed — no one knows where. Our grandmother Carolina remarried, taking the name Tatar, which we carry today. But we chose to honor our origin, our history, and the man we never knew, by naming this company Harniciuk Sonic.
Harniciuk Sonic was founded by Tatar Axente Sebastian — father and guitarist — and his son Harniciuk Vlad Sebastian, from Transylvania, Romania. We built this because we needed it ourselves. Not as a tech project. As musicians who spend their lives playing, teaching and living the craft. Every tool, every lesson, every feature on this site was born from a real need we had as guitarists.
